Cheers to Cedars

Last saturday ended up in home itself. Since Senior and Junior were a bit tired due to cold i surrendered my day in the kitchen. Sunday we planned for a good lunch. It was time since we tried a new cuisine and we wanted to do it now. We decided to check out Cedars in Kotturpuram.

When i called them up i was quite disappointed to know that they have only weekend Brunch Buffet(I'm a bit hesitant on buffet when it comes to an exclusive cuisine). But the food was excellent. Cedars is an exclusive middle eastern (Lebanese, more specifically) cuisine restaurant. They also serve french. The waiters are very friendly and they make sure that u r comfortable.

We started with fresh papaya juice and nut crusted cottage cheese. The starter was too good and i comitted sin by having a lot. Penne Basilico was just average. To my surprise they served a more dishes on the table. We had some excellent pancakes, french toasts. To mention in specific the Falafel served with pita breads were too good. Other than this the mix pepper bake, cream of garlic in olive oil and most importantly the hummus, corn and pepper salad were very delicious. The heavy meal ended up with a superb dessert named Mouhallabieh (errrr. how to call it??) made of milk and corn flour.

Location : Gandhi Mandapam Road, Kotturpuram (Opposite to Adayar Villa)

Cuisine : Flavours of mediterranenan

Note : Only brunch buffet during weekends

Cost : Brunch buffet costs Rs. 375 + taxes. I think the food makes u think that the prices are reasonable(Though, it wont hurt the customers if they reduce the prices:)).
