சுப்ரமணியபுரம் - இரண்டு முறை பார்த்ததற்க்கான காரணம்

இந்த படத்தின் பாடல்கள் கேட்டதிலிருந்து படத்தை பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆர்வம் ஜாஸ்தியாகவே இருந்தது. டைரக்டர் ஏமாற்றாமல் தரமான படத்தை பார்த்த திருப்தியை ஏற்படுத்திவிட்டார். படம் எனக்கு பிடித்தற்கான காரணங்கள் இதோ.

1. First scene கஞ்சா கருப்பு வருவதிலிருந்தே படம் top gearல travel பண்ண ஆரம்பிக்குது. ஒரு சின்ன இடத்தில் கூட தொய்வு ஏற்படுத்தாத டைரக்டர் சசிகுமார்க்கு முதல் ஜே.

2. ஹீரோயின் selectionக்காக ரெண்டாவது ஜே. பேசும் கண்களும், கொள்ளை கொள்ளும் சிரிப்பும், chance இல்ல. ஜெய் கூட romance பண்ணும் போது பார்க்கும் கள்ளப்பார்வை இருக்கே absolutely no words to describe.

3. ஜேம்ஸ் வசந்தனை music directora தேர்வு செய்ததற்கு மூன்றாவது ஜே. Coffee with Anu programla music director choice பத்தி அவர் சொன்னது அட போட வைத்தது. "சிறு பொண்மனி" பாட்டு வரும்போதெல்லாம் தியெட்டரில் விசில் சத்தம் காதை கிழிக்குது. Nice choice.

4. படத்தில் வரும் எந்த கேரக்டரும் வேஸ்ட் என்று சொல்லவே முடியாதபடி அமைந்த screenplay. Lead characters முதல் பரமனின் அண்ணியாக நடித்தவர் வரை அத்தனை பேரும் பட்டையைக் கிளப்பியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

5. இயல்பான வசனங்கள். மதுரை தமிழும், நகைச்சுவையும் நல்ல கூட்டணி. உதாரணத்திற்கு
கஞ்சா கருப்பு : "நம்ம பொழப்புக்கு இதெல்லாம் நல்லாவா இருக்கு?"
ஜெய் : "நமக்கு ஏதுடா பொழைப்பு??"
க கருப்பு : "இவைங்களுக்கு மத்தில வாழ்றதே பெரிய பொழப்பு தான்டா..."

6. Thrills and twists of second half. அதுவும் கடைசி 45 நிமிடங்கள் அதிர வைக்கும் சரவெடி.

ரொம்ப நாள் கழிச்சு நான் பார்த்த நல்ல படம். இன்னொரு தடவை பார்க்க chance கிடைக்குதான்னு பார்க்கலாம்.

-Savior of Earth

Starring Cabtun as father & son.
First time in the history of Indian cinema Battany Squares as heroine.
Kedhuvaran as (crooked) head of MASA.

Now for the story….

Scene 1:
A group of scientists are having a serious discussion in the conference room of MASA. The discussion is about the threat posed to mother earth by the aliens from Mars. Yes, MASA came to know it by taping the conversation between the head of the aliens & an allakai alien. Now everyone is worried about how to save mother earth? At this point tea is supplied to everyone in the room. The tea boy says “hmmm idhukka ivlo periya discussion. There is only one person who can save the earth. He is Mannarasu (CABTUN in appa role)”. Everybody unanimously cheers and decides to send Mannarasu to fight the aliens.

Scene 2:
Appa CABTUN intro. A group of good hearted scientist approaches Kedhuvaran (who is one of the Villains) and asks him to send Mannarusu to mars to destroy the alien forces. They justify there choice by explaining him the good deeds of Mannarasu. Inga than cabtunukku intro song vekkirom. The song will be penned by the great???!!!! Lyricists Borerarasu and meejik by the great graveyard music director SK Deva. And without fail we r showing the colourful flag of cabtun throughout the song. Mannarasu has a beautiful family. His wife Laxmi is a homely lady. Their 10 years old son, Vinnarasu is a very good boy who excels in studies & exceeds in size.

Scene 3:
Mannarasu, Kedhuvaran & a group of other scientists come to a decision that Mannarasu himself will go to mars in a rocket and destroy the aliens using a electronically programmed special machine gun. Namma cabtun avaroda zippu vecha shoevayum, torch vacha thoppium (need this very much as space will be dark. Yaarum padathula logic illanu solla koodadhu parunga) pottukittu rocketla kelambararu. The day he started his journey was diwali. So he gets loads n loads of crackers to his son. Ellarukkum tata kaatitu he started his journey. He lands in Mars and to his shock he finds that the special gun is programmed wrongly. Being unarmed he kills 100 aliens by the reverse kick, 100 by showing his face in close up and another 100 by giving a patriotic speech. But alas while cabtun was giving speech a group of aliens hit him @ his pinmandai and captures him. He is put in a jail which has no doors. Yes it’s a jail that has dangerous infra rays as its walls(technology has improved so much you know).

Scene 4:
In earth Mannarasu’s family is worried as there is no news from him. Years pass by. Now Mannarasu’s son Vinnarasu has grown up. Laxmi now tells the flashback to his son. After hearing the story Vinnarasu decides to save his father. He approaches MASA to send him to Mars. The board refuses to do so. Kedhuvaran’s secretary Battany Squares gets mayangified in Vinnarasu’s beauty???!!! He approaches Vinnarasu and says that her boss is the villain. Vinnarasu workouts a plan to go to Mars (Indha scenku munadi oru duet song kattayam undu). Vinnarasu now builds rocket???!!! by using the crackers tat his father gave for diwali. He promises his mom that he’ll bring back father and starts his journey to Mars with Battany Squares.

Scene 5:
Vinnarasu lands on MARS and parks his rocket in a secret place. He starts searching his father. He follows an alien and finds the secret prison and his father. Inga than appavum paiyyanum maari maari pasatha piliyuranga (Padathula sentiment illanu yaarum sollidakoodadhula). Vinnarasu is thinking of how to break the walls of the prison, as if he touches it he’ll get killed by the current. Suddenly an idea gets flashed to his mind. He lits his beedi and oodhifies the smoke towards his father. Voila the infra rays gets disappeared and Mannarasu is freed. Father and son together sets bombs all over Mars. Adhu varaikkum aliens enna panranganu yaarum kekka koodadhulla. Adhukku than we have a item number by Battany Squares. Before the aliens realize that they’ve been fooled, the awesome threesome escapes in the rocket and the evil planet explodes.

Climax:
Mannarasu informs US president about Kedhuvaran. Kedhuvaran is arrested and sentenced to death. Mannarasu becomes the new head of MASA. Vinnarasu becomes the president of US

P.S: If anyone comes forward to produce this film, I’m ready to direct it without getting a penny

Agent Blue

The agents in Blue have certain things in common…
They clean the places which look centuries old.
They kill little Micro-organisms which discuss strategies to spread deadly diseases.
All these agents appear on the so called idiot box during the prime time when we sit in front of the box with a plate of delicious food.
Still couldn’t identify the agent???
Yes it’s nothing but a Toilet cleaner.
These advertisements show you toilets cleaned long ago say during the bagavadhar period which will make you puke the moment u see it. Idhula koduma ennana they’ll zoom in the toilet to show the microorganisms. Avlo closeupla parka adhu enna Aishwarya Rai facea? And the animation used here voila. U would never imagine a germ like that (room pottu design pannuvangalo). After pouring this cleaning agent all the germs die which is shown again by zooming in (ada kadavule). In addition they’ll bring in a TV celebrity to challenge for a clean & sparkling toilet.
This is how the ad actually goes . . .

Indhamma : Hai! Neengala. Vaanga. Want to have something to eat?
Andhalu : Show me the toilet!
(Me : En anga than sappida poriya??)


Indhamma : Oh you've come for the clean toilet challenge is it?
Andhalu : Yes, what do you think about this toilet?
(Me : Katti mudicha naalla irundhu clean pannalunnu nallave theriyudhu!!)


Indhamma : Konjam stains irukku.
(Me : Konjama..adipavi??!!!!)
Andhalu : Do you think that these stains would go?

Indhamma : Definitely not. I've tried various methods, no use.
Andhalu : Ok, lets go to the challenge. Pour our liquid and wait for 15 mins. Now pour water and here you go!

Indhamma : Wow, evalo azhaga aagiduchu en toilet! Nalla vasana kooda varudhu.
(Me : Karumam. Toilet-la enna yezhavu azhagu vaendi kadakku?? Vasana varudhunnu adha living rooma matha mudiyuma???)

இந்திரலோகத்தில் நா.அழகப்பன் - விமர்சனம்.

ஒரு பெரிய்ய்ய்ய்ய்ய பாடலுடன் தொடங்குகிறது படம் (அப்பவே உஷாரா ஆயிருக்கனும்). பூலோகத்தில் நாடக கம்பெனி நடத்தும் அழகப்பன், இந்திரன், எமதர்மன் என்று வடிவேலுக்கு மூன்று கெட்டப்புகள். வடிவேலுவின் அழகில்???!!! மயங்கி இந்திரலோகம் திரும்ப மறந்து, சாபத்தால் கற்சிலையாகி நிற்கும் ரம்பையின் கழுத்தில் சந்தர்ப்ப சூழ்நிலையால் மாலையிடுகிறார் அழகப்பன். மாலையிட்டவனையே மணாளனாகக் கருதி, அழகப்பனை இந்திரலோகத்திற்கு வரவழைக்கிறார் ரம்பை. பகலை பூலோகத்திலும், இரவை இந்திரலோகத்திலும் கழிக்கிறார் அழகப்பன். சொர்க்கம், நரகம் என்று tour அடிக்கும் அழகப்பன், ஒரு கட்டத்தில் எமன் செய்யும் அட்டகாசங்களுக்கு முடிவு கட்ட முயற்சிப்பதும் அதனால் ஏற்படும் விளைவுகளும் தான் கதை.

அழகப்பனாக வடிவேலு நிறைவாக நடித்திருக்கிறார். ஆனால் அவர் செய்யும் அட்வைஸ்கள் ரொம்ப ஓவர். படத்தில் பிரசார நெடி தூக்கலாக இருக்கிறது. இந்திரன் கேரக்டர் கிச்சு கிச்சு மூட்டுகிறது. அதுவும் நாரதராக வரும் நாசரிடம் அவர் மாட்டிக்கொண்டு படும் பாடு காமெடி கலகல. "ஆண்களை கண்டாலே ஒவ்வாமை" என்று கூறும்போது தியேட்டரே அதிர்கிறது. எமதர்மன் வேஷம் வடிவேலிற்கு நன்றாக பொருந்தினாலும் ஓவர் ஆக்டிங்கை கொஞ்சம் தவிர்த்திருக்கலாம். நாரதராக நாசர் perfect. ஒவ்வொரு sceneலும் சிக்ஸர் அடிக்கிறார். சுமித்ரா முதல் ஸ்ரேயா வரை படத்தில் வீணடிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் நிறைய பேர். எல்லார் பத்தியும் சொல்லிட்டு ஹீரோயின் பத்தி சொல்லலனா ரசிகர்கள் சாபம் என்னை சும்மா விடாது. தீத்தா சர்மா அழகாயிருக்கிறார், நன்றாக ஆடுகிறார். வேறொன்ரும் சொல்வதற்கில்லை.

நானொரு தேவதை பாடல் தாளம் போட வைக்கிறது. மற்ற பாடல்கள் தேறுவதுபோலில்லை. படத்திற்கு மிகப் பெரிய பலம் art direction தான். சொர்கத்தையும், நரகத்தையும் நம் கண் முன் நிறுத்த ரொம்பவே மெனக்கெட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். படத்தின் மிகப் பெரிய பலவீனம் நீண்டுக்கொண்டே போகும் கிளைமேக்ஸ் தான். அதிலும் இந்திரனிடம் சாபம் பெற்ற பிறகு வரும் காட்சிகள் இழுவையோ இழுவை. படத்தை முடிக்க டைரகர் ரொம்பவே திணறியிருக்கிறார்.

முடிவாக படம் ஆஹா ஓஹோன்னு இல்லன்னாலும் ஒரு தடவை பார்க்கலாம்கிற மாதிரி இருக்கு.
